The South African Working Dogs Association is the parent body for the various working dog disciplines in South Africa, and handles the registrations of dogs that will compete in any of the disciplines. A dog need only be registered once. Registration of dogs is purely for recording purposes - we are not concerned with the breeding or pedigree of the dogs.
IFCS unites national member federations of sport with dogs on all five continents. It is a sports organization, which reaches on all over the world and bears the idea of a united cynological sport nation.

Providing Responsible Information on a Dogs Environment
Mush with P.R.I.D.E. was established in 1991 as an organization of mushers who were concerned about the care of sled dogs and public perceptions of mushing. To address some of these concerns, P.R.I.D.E. developed sled dog care and equipment guidelines. We instituted a voluntary kennel inspection program and created an email list to facilitate communication among dog mushers whose main concern is treatment and care of sled dogs. P.R.I.D.E. guidelines have frequently been used by other groups and agencies when determining responsible dog care and kennel husbandry standards.
